The walkie-talkies are splash proof, which makes them suitable for outdoor use.
These devices are sturdy, which makes them quite heavy.
With the Topcom Twintalker 9100, you can communicate via 8 channels and 121 sub-channels without needing a license. Thanks to the built-in channel scan function, the Twintalker 9100 automatically looks for the channel with the best reception. This sturdy-looking walkie-talkie also has noise suppression for crystal clear reception and a lit display that shows the channel, the sub-channel, and the frequency. I took the Topcom Twintalker 9100 with me when I traveled abroad with friends in 2 different cars. The Topcom Twintalker 9100 saved us a lot of cell phone costs and made it easy for us to communicate with each other when, for example, we were driving through a city - stopped by the side for a break - ...
This always worked very well, although the range isn't really that great when you're driving on the highway at 120 km/h.
The supplied car chargers have also come in very handy, although the battery lasted at least 3-4 days with moderate use (switch off at night)
The ease of use is also very good, the supplied user manual is very clear.
The sound quality is overall good, only when you use the supplied shoulder microphones the quality is slightly less.
The supplied box is also super handy to store everything nice again when you don't need it.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the Topcom Twintalker, and I would definitely recommend it.

2 years ago we bought the topcom twintalker 9100 for the warehouse where I work. But now this year we got a universal system and these walkie's are less sound quality and much more complicated. Every day I go to work I miss the topcom 9100.

We used the walkie talkies for a road trip to Croatia; we drove with 2 cars. The quality of the reception on the highway was good, especially if you drive in open terrain. As soon as you enter densely populated areas, such as residential areas, etc., you notice that the reception decreases. But that also makes sense. The walkie-talkies did the trick primarily for our purpose and that is: communicating on the go. A big plus in my opinion is the long battery life; on the way to Croatia they have not been on the charger once, so not even on the 12v connection of the car. Add to that the decent build quality of the walkie talkie and you almost have a top product. Personally, I recommend the Topcom Twintalker to everyone.
