According to our sander expert
You use an eccentric sander for fine finishes as well as for sanding or polishing large or curved surfaces.
You keep control over the sanding speed, thanks to the variable speed control.
The on switch can be locked so you don't have to press it continuously.
Your arms will get tired after long-term sanding, due to the high vibration value of 8m/s.
The Bosch PEX 400 AE eccentric sander is equipped with Bosch Electronic. This lets you adjust the speed continuously, optimizing the speed for the material you're working on. The micro-filter system ensures that the dust generated during sanding is greatly reduced. The dust is collected in a transparent dust box with content indicator. The optimized ergonomics and extra handle ensure perfect operation and easy guidance. Thanks to the aluminum casing, the PEX 400 AE is very durable, so it will last you for years.
Very solid device. easy to use. Sometimes the sanding sheets loosen (especially p240 sheets)

Bought to sand down our walls where putty was being done. Does its job well, except for the extraction in the tray, everything is perfect. This collection container can absolutely not handle such dust, but that was to be expected. I have no experience with normal dust, such as when sanding a wooden object.
The design of the drip tray is very inconvenient to empty, difficult to open and put back on the appliance.
Bosch had better immediately supplied a connector for connecting a vacuum cleaner hose. Or something similar offered as an accessory. Have now fixed something myself with an old water hose as an extension to the vacuum cleaner hose. It would have been much more convenient if this was provided as standard, after all, this device is no longer the cheapest.
Also here a super fast delivery from CB - correct with the necessary status updates of my order.
