The Netatmo Rain Gauge is an expansion to your Netatmo weather station. You can measure the temperature, air pressure, and CO2 emissions, but also the amount of precipitation with this extra expansion. Nice addition to the base station. Confirmation is tricky and hard to find in the trade. It is left to the buyer to find a solution. Could be better for that price.

Defective after 4 years

After 4 years it broke down on me, the internal circuit board somehow got moisture, while it is closed with screw connections. As a result, it no longer works. The material is made of plastic and very fragile, you have to handle it with care when placing or replacing batteries. In very cold weather it could just break. At least I always had the idea that if I put too much force it would break off. The screw/turn method to open the device is not really practical, does not work smoothly and is stiff. After a long time, the batteries no longer make good contact with the housing, this can be solved with a piece of silver foil. Depending on the quality of the batteries, you can use the rain gauge for a long or short period of time. Every now and then the connection with the main station drops, then you have to go through the registration procedure again. Automatic recognition after inserting new batteries does not always work.
