    The Nikon Prostaff 5 12x50 are binoculars with a maximum magnification of 12 times. With these binoculars, you can easily watch far-away animals like birds in the sky up close. The special coatings on the lenses reduce reflections. This keeps the image clear. With the dioptric correction, you can adjust the focus to your eyes. This is useful if you have an eye condition. Thanks to the long eye distance, people with glasses can us the binoculars as well. You can use the binoculars on rainy days without any issues thanks to the waterproof finish. That's useful if you're watching exotic animals on a tropical vacation, for example. It has a rubber exterior, so you can firmly hold on to it and the binoculars won't slip from your hands.

    If you have a steady hand, they are very nice binoculars

    • firm grip
    • Clear picture
    • tripod does not seem possible

    Nice solid binoculars in sturdy bag. The magnification of 12 allows you to get everything really close. The picture is of course a bit shaky. A steady hand is required, or else a tripod is recommended. This brings us to my only downside: I haven't really researched it yet, but it seems that a tripod is not possible for this viewer.
