I didn't have very high expectations for this product; considering the price and the travel size. I let the rollers warm up for 15 minutes (no idea when they are "ready") and then they can easily and quickly be rolled into my hair. Rollers get warm/not hot. I have long fine hair and the amount of rollers are enough for me. I grab fairly large sections. For someone with thick hair, the rollers will not be enough and will not be hot enough. Then I let the rollers cool for half an hour. After that, my hair is great for 10 minutes, and then it's completely straight again. All that's left is a little more volume. The use of mousse and/or hairspray makes zero difference. So that's what I'm using it for now; to get volume in my hair. But you can't save anything from long curls, waves or waves with this set. The hint of “warm plastic” also lingers in my hair. Tried cleaning rollers already/ makes no difference. I hope this will become less with time...otherwise a big bad buy :-/
