According to our car kit expert
You can disconnect the screen and take it with you.
You'll be heard clearly, thanks to noise suppression.
You can decide yourself where you'd like to position the (separate) microphone.
Does your car come with its own brand ISO or AUDIO2CAR connector? In that case, you should use an ISO or AUDIO2CAR adapter cable.
With the Parrot Mki9100 in the car, you no longer need to touch your mobile phone. That's because you can fully control this Bluetooth car kit with your voice or with the included remote that is mounted to the steering wheel. The small device includes cables for your MP3 player or USB flash drive. Connect your music player to the Parrot Mki9100 and enjoy the sound of your favorite music blasting through the car speakers.
This is a really good car kit with only a few hiccups. I've been using it for about a month and a half now. My choice was deliberate for the MKi9100 because of the small display (less risk of burglary and a bit more subtle, but still functional) and the BT audio function that allows you to stream music from your phone.
Built-in
First of all, the installation. I have a car with ISO connectors, so the installation was not very much work. It took me about an hour and a half, with getting rid of the microphone wire taking the most time. Connecting the kit was a piece of cake, the manual was clear and everything worked right away. I have the wireless remote control on the steering wheel (for lack of a good place on the dashboard) and that is not really ideal. When parking and other maneuvers where you have to steer the thing sometimes gets in the way. But you got used to it. ;-)
pair
Pairing went well right away (both with an MDA Vario III and with a Vario V) and every time you get in the car kit connects immediately and syncs your contact list first. That is sometimes a bit inconvenient, because it means that you cannot use the built-in telephone book immediately after boarding and can only set up a conversation via the telephone itself. But if you're patient for a minute, the sync is done and it's cool that it takes care of that for you automatically.
Sound
The sound quality (and that's what you buy it for) is excellent. I can be heard perfectly by other people (there is little background noise) and the sound goes through the speakers of the car radio (even when it is not turned on), making it loud and clear. Incidentally, the volume control is also separated from the radio, so even if you have the music very loud or very soft, the phone volume is always the same (as you have set it yourself).
Ease of use
The ease of use is sometimes less, and that has to do with two things:
I do think that the problem is a lot less if, for example, you only have 100 people in your contact list.
Bluetooth Audio
Playing music on my phone via Bluetooth over the car radio also worked well right away. I didn't have to connect any extra cables for it, it just works with the standard ISO connectors. The volume of the music is then controlled by the Parrot and not by the car radio. The Parrot also has an equalizer function, so you can fine-tune the sound quality if necessary. It is not always convenient, because although you can operate basic functions of the phone's media player via the Parrot, things go wrong (on my phone at least) when a call comes in. My phone then switches the media player 'to the background' and when you have hung up you first have to perform some actions on the phone to activate the media player again and then you have to instruct the Parrot again to start playing music. Too much hassle for short journeys, but if you spend longer in the car, the advantages outweigh this disadvantage.
Finally, I am very satisfied with the ordering, payment and delivery process at Coolblue!
Conclusion
In short: a nice, good car kit, with some inconveniences that I think almost all other car kits also suffer from. Definitely worth the money! Maybe the voice control problem can be solved with voice tags on the phone, I'll look into that next week.

I drive a volvo that got the "high performance audio system" as an option with the purchase, unfortunately I can only listen to CDs and FM radio... So I thought I had killed 2 birds with 1 stone with the mki9100 (hands-free calling AND listen to my favorite pictures via usb) I was happy because every time burn such a CD ROM for a few songs ...... I had the parrot installed at an authorized dealer and when I came to collect the car I was VERY disappointed, my Volvo high performance audio system didn't give half of what it did when I listened to FM radio or CDs. The dealer explained to me that the parrot does not go over the amplifier from Volvo to my speakers, but has itself a kind of "amplifier" that does not mean anything compared to what I am used to in this car. WHAT A DAMPER, I don't understand that this serious shortcoming is hardly discussed here in the reviews, are you all satisfied with such crappy reinforcement??? Can I purchase a heavier amplifier for this mki9100 in the aftermarket or an alternative solution?
ps I am very satisfied with the hands-free calling function, but I could have had it for 250 euros less!

I have been the proud owner of a Parrot car kit for over a year now. Installing this is quite easy if you are a bit handy. The car kit works flawlessly with my phone and always takes over all contacts. After more than a year my music function stopped working, after contacting Cool Blue, the entire installation was replaced completely free of charge! Class!!
