According to our camera lens expert
The optical image stabilization prevents blurry pictures.
You can take the lens along while traveling, thanks to the large range and low weight.
The lens has a minimum focal distance of 49cm.
The Tamorn 18-200mm Di II VC is a zoom lens with a large range. Take pictures of wide landscapes or zoom in for detailed pictures without changing lenses. With 400 grams, this lens is lighter than similair lenses. The large range and light weight make it suitable for traveling, vacations, and everyday use. The optical image stabilization ensures sharp photos. When the sun sets, the stabilizaton allows you to shoot handheld longer. Since nearly all cameras record video as well, Tamron has provided the lens with a fast and silent autofocus system. This way, you won't be bothered by annoying background noise.
For the, in my view, relatively low price, he takes incredibly beautiful photos! It is also quiet when focusing which my previous lens was not, which is very nice, those details subconsciously already make a lot of difference, think about that if you also have a less quiet lens, because I love this! They have also thought carefully about putting a lock button on it, if the lens is damaged over time, so that if you hold it down, it does not extend all the way. Other than that, I haven't used it much yet, but I'm very excited to be using it a lot soon! If you are still in doubt, I say do it with 100%! And most of all because of the wide range. That way you don't have to, or at least hardly change it with other lenses. And this is really cool, especially for the novice photographers! This way you can find out even better what kind of photography you want to do and which specific lenses you want to buy later. It is possible that you will fall short with this lens in dark rooms, but I have not yet been able to test that well enough whether this can be solved with settings and possibly some editing afterwards to make a real statement about it. I also think the design is slightly less than with the large, expensive lenses, but it is a lens and it actually doesn't matter that much, if you put the supplied lens hood on it, it does look pretty cool and impressive, just without I don't think it's very pretty.
Good luck with your continued search!

I recently bought a Canon 750D with an 18-55mm lens. Unfortunately, I can only take landscape photos with that lens. I wanted a lens with which I could take close-ups of animals and landscape photos and the Tamron 18-200mm is perfect for that. I also don't have to keep 2 lenses in my bag because this lens is perfect for both. Very occasionally the Auto Focus mode is a bit slow, but it's easy to get over that, and most of the time I use Manual Focus anyway. The image stabilization (VC) is perfect to keep the image, as the word says, stable when you zoom in far. The quality of the photos has improved for me. The standard 18-55mm that I got with my 750D is slightly less in quality than this one, so a plus. The weight of the lens is fairly light for an 18-200mm. I could easily walk around all day with the camera + lens and I wouldn't notice much. The design is also neat, maybe a bit blocky, but you shouldn't really complain about that for such a price.

Lens is easy to use and this allows you to take photos with the same lens for many applications. How easy is that.
