According to our monitor expert
The BenQ SW2700PT was specially designed for photographers. This 1440p monitor is factory calibrated and also has hardware calibration. Due to the 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space, colors look very realistic, which helps when retouching photos. Place the included hood on the monitor to reduce annoying ambient light and reflections. To facilitate a good posture, this monitor is pivotable, rotatable, tiltable, and height adjustable.

After a long search for a good monitor, I fell for this BENQ. I am a lot into photography myself and had read a very good review by a German photographer Frank Doorhof. After receiving the monitor I was very satisfied with the quality of the screen. the foot is also made of sturdy materials and certainly does not look cheap. The screen hood was also included in the box, which other brands are happy to ask a few 100 euros for. Playing games is OK but wouldn't really recommend the screen for gamers. Screen is already factory calibrated and you will receive a certificate. Colors are very natural and ideal for photo editing. For the price, this screen is highly recommended for semi/pro photographers who don't want to spend a lot of money, but who do want value for money. Screen ordered one evening and was delivered in the morning the next day! BRAVO COOLBLUE!

For my photographic image editing I wanted to upgrade my Eizo CG 22 to a 27 inch monitor. I actually wanted to go for a NEC SpectraView or Eizo ColorEdge but they cost double and more. So I thought, I'll try this BenQ, if it doesn't work, I'll sell it again. Color rendering overall is certainly not disappointing. The surface structure of the screen is good (a kind of semi-matte/glossy) no problems with reflections. It's great that you get a (free) hood included. At EIzo you have to pay € 199 extra for those few pieces of black plastic, which is an absurd amount of money, but I think it is indispensable. I calibrated it with my DataColor spider 3 with elite software as this screen with its own software only supports spider 4 and spider 5 from then on. So it might be possible to fine tune that even better. Not very important to me, but a nice feature is the "remote control" that is in the monitor base. This works much easier than having to fiddle with those small buttons on the edge of a screen. My only gripe is that uniformity across the screen isn't quite consistent. So if you want the top you will have to pay more. But I think it's a very good monitor for this price.

As a photographer you have to be able to rely on a good monitor. Benq launched the Benq sw2700pt a few years ago especially for this target group. After reading many rave reviews, I also bought the monitor.
As I am not used to from Coolblue, the monitor was delivered in sturdy packaging after one day. The box contains everything you need and even a monitor hood is included, which is a plus for me. The monitor is easy to assemble and connect. The monitor hood, which is delivered in 5 separate parts, is also fairly easy to place on the monitor after some fiddling.
What strikes me is that the matte screen is not as matte as that of, for example, a Dell. I think this just takes some getting used to.
The monitor comes "calibrated" from the factory, the report of this is included. Of course it is important to calibrate the monitor yourself. The screen is 10bit and can be adjusted in a hardware way. This was also one of the plus points why I bought this monitor.
One of the colorimeters recommended by Benq is the i1Display Pro in combination with the included software Palette Master Element. It is easy to apply hardware-based profiling of the monitor, but I get disappointing results with this. Better / good results are achieved by software calibration with i1Profiler software.
I had hoped for a good hardware calibration, but this is very disappointing.
