Just carry on working, with the Black & Decker Workmate WM825. Whether you want to use it as a vise, workbench, or sawhorse, the WM825 does it all. It clamps objects securely, up to a weight of 250 kilograms. You can easily cut planks to size, and then paint them immediately. Because it holds practically anything, you can also easily place a bicycle upside down in the workbench. You only need one hand to adjust the clamp boards correctly. And if that's not enough, you can also store in the blink of an eye.

Cause I bought this workmate because the old one started showing defects after 20 years. May also be after such a time and sometimes quite intensive use.
Order/delivery The order went perfectly. I received a text message when the device was in stock, I immediately called to order, and the next day already at home! And a lot cheaper than at the local DIY stores!
Out of the box It takes some getting used to if you are only used to the old types, especially because the manual provides minimal information. But in terms of possibilities, it is very extensive;
In practice I saw and glued both small slats and larger planks and plates of wood on the job, and I was very satisfied with the solidity, stability and ease of use. In particular, the fact that you can quickly loosen the planks with one hand while holding the object to be processed with your other hand is very handy. With the previous workmate, this regularly fell to the floor when you slid the planks apart.
store Folding is sometimes a bit difficult, but maybe this will go smoothly if it has been used more often. You also have to bend down to fold all 4 legs, they have to come up with something again! But once folded, it is very flat and takes up little space
Conclusion An excellent device for a very favorable price. It has everything you need for practical work.

I would like to report almost the same as in the review of "Ralph, Arnhem". His review dates back to "Wednesday September 16, 2009 at 8.29 PM" and because that has been a while ago I want to confirm and add to his review points. His review was the deciding factor for me to place my order at Powertoolshop.
My old workmate (blue) was still my father's and is now at least 35 years old. Unfortunately, the workmate recently became unusable in a barn fire. The only wear were the caps under the legs.
After I had looked at and felt a number of workmates from other brands in the shops, I still preferred Black & Decker. This model WM825 is ultimately the most extensive/complete and mainly sturdy.
The WM825 was not in stock, so I turned on the option for an SMS and on Saturday I also received it. I ordered immediately and chose Friday as the delivery day. Everything went exactly as expected and Friday the postman was at the door. There is no negative point to note about this state of affairs.
The WM825 is not as heavy/solid as the historical product I had from Black & Decker, but certainly as usable and even with more options:
I haven't even opened the manual booklet yet! All information is displayed (cryptically) on the worksheets. As long as no paint goes over it, it is always ready.
Folding is, as Ralph also wrote, quite difficult. The legs have to be released from the clamps with a good push / kick and the worktop has to be folded down with both hands at the same time, but by looking at the side you can see in which direction you have to push. Pay close attention to the 'track' of the guide rail.
The rear blade is larger than the front and can be placed in 3 slots. As a result, that blade never seems to be really firmly attached if the front blade is not tightened.
Crooked clamping is also easy by holding back one lever and turning the other. The conveyor belt then slips. In my opinion this is correct, but sometimes this also happens when it is not intended, namely as soon as I tighten a workpiece extra with 1 hand. Then turn both handles at the same time.
I hang the workmate folded on the wall, so folding/unfolding and lifting will happen regularly. This is good to do.

I had been thinking about replacing my approximately 30 year old Workmate for some time now. I should have done that much sooner! What a ease of use this bank has. The adjustable height, the one-hand operation, the large work surface and the large maximum clamping distance are a relief. I can effortlessly secure my existing tools such as circular saws and jigsaws, so that I also have one hand free when using them. It's great. Highly recommended for the do it yourselfer.
