Let's start with the MAC filtering. I couldn't use it before because it was also applied to my guest access. Who would come up with something like that? When a guest comes I had to request his MAC address. Not so with this Asus. You just check that you don't want that, but that guests are also not allowed to have access to your intranet and that's it.
Guest access also works in the same way as with a normal WiFi: no portal site but just a WPA2 key. This is especially useful on a Smartphone (less hassle) and if your guests visit several times.
I also appreciate the logging. Before, all I knew was that there was a problem and that the internet was sometimes slow. Now I was able to find out within the day that there was a problem with the cable to my modem.
It is also possible to view the traffic per device, at application level (e.g. Youtube) and at user level and graphically displayed on a time scale. Very handy.
