Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our hedge trimmer expert
The large tooth gap also lets you trim larger branches with a maximum thickness of 25mm.
You can also trim the top of the hedge without a ladder thanks to the telescopic lance.
You can turn the handle, so you¿ll always work in a comfortable position and trim even the hard-to-reach angles of the hedge.
Due to the 4.1kg weight, the hedge trimmer is difficult to hold for a long time.
You can safely prune high hedges with the Gardena THS 500/48. The hedge trimmer has a telescopic lance with a range of about 3m. This means you don't have to use a ladder. The tiltable head also allows you to easily trim high hedge tops and plants. This telescopic hedge trimmer has a 550W power, so it's powerful and prunes in 1 stroke without interruptions. Thanks to the ergonomic handle, the THS 500/48 is comfortable to hold.
Due to the adjustability to work at different angles, the device is well suited for cutting a hedge, conifers and ground covers.

Consciously opted for a not too heavy device. I can't say much about durability yet, but the whole feels solid. Straight up it is doable, diagonally it gets a bit heavy (oh, counting the years). I found a solution with an extra support pole and a fishing rod strap: the weight rests on my hips. I was able to shave my tall conifers just fine with it. The four stars can safely be read as five stars
