According to our powerline adapter expert
With Gigabit Ethernet ports, you can transfer files 10 times faster than with fast Ethernet ports.
At 5.9cm, the powerlines don't take up a lot of space.
Thanks to the automatic energy-saving mode, you can use less energy.
The adapters don't have built-in WiFi to wirelessly connect a device to your network.
The maximum speed of powerline adapters depends on the AC power in your home.
With the Netgear PL1000 powerline without WiFi, you can turn any socket in the house into a network connection. Plug the adapters into the socket, connect one adapter to our router, and you have an extra internet connection. Since the PL1000 uses the existing power grid, you don't have to run any long network cables.

After having some experience with PLC systems I was looking for a simple cheap set. The "Netgear PL1000 No WiFi 1000 Mbps" is a (at first sight, after having had no problems at all) a reliable, very easy to install item. It is literally plug and play and not a plug and pray system. The security option works great. The 1 GB/h is indeed achieved. There is (almost imperceptible) loss of 5mb/h when working with extension cords but no interruptions.
In terms of design I have to say that I don't really care, it works properly, no buttons in bizarre places so the design is fine for me.
Please note if you buy this, this can be connected for 1 consumer and not 2. For each additional consumer you have to purchase a separate unit, which is normal but can be pricey at the end of the ride.

No fuss, does what it says on the box. You need absolutely no knowledge and it works within seconds. Just make sure you stay on the same loop in your electrical circuit (if not, powerline may not work as well or not at all) and wait for the lights (takes a few seconds) before connecting your ethernet cables.
