Multi-room audio |
According to our receiver expert
With the internal WiFi receiver, you can stream files from your computer network wirelessly.
You can receive thousands of digital music stations thanks to the integrated internet radio.
The integrated DAC means you'll also enjoy high-quality audio from digital sources.
This is not an AV receiver, so it's not suitable for creating a home cinema surround sound setup.
The receiver doesn't have a phono input to connect a record player.
With the Yamaha R-N402 DAB+, you're getting a smart receiver with a wide range of playback options. You can use the integrated WiFi receiver or a cable to connect it to the Internet and stream music with Spotify Connect, AirPlay, or internet radio. With MusicCast, you can create a multi-room system. Link the R-N402 DAB+ to other MusicCast devices and use the app to decide in which room you want to hear which music. The integrated digital/analog converter translates the signal transmitted by digital audio sources into high-quality audio.
Quality is very good

Since my previous amplifier was of very good quality (but also very expensive), I am surprised that this amplifier delivers such a good and not too sharp sound. I really did not expect this for this price. Amplifier was first intended for the bedroom, but it is now in the living room with a few good speakers.

An amplifier that is of this time. Can use double wired connection to make my Chario speakers give super sound. The streaming options are plentiful and work well. And the Musiccast works fine between living room and kitchen.
