Didn't have a jigsaw yet and got it pretty wrong. So I bought the Makita 4351FCTJ. This was new to me as I am more familiar with the "bow handle" jigsaws which are a more familiar phenomenon to most people. The advantage of this machine is that your weight is more on the front, which I think gives you a better grip but also control of the saw. The saw doesn't make a lot of noise, as much as all the other jigsaws I've used (Metabo, Bosch). Did find that the Anti Splinter Plate fell out quickly, so you have to pay attention to that otherwise you will lose it in no time.
