According to our studio microphone expert
You can choose from 3 different directional characteristics, which allows you to make different types of sound recordings.
This compact USB microphone works right away after you connect it to your computer via a USB cable.
With the tripod, you can place the microphone firmly.
The microphone doesn't have a mute button, so you can't mute the sound.
The Blue Snowball is a starter USB microphone you can easily record sound for your stream, podcast, or music productions with. These recordings are 16 bit/44.1kHz. You can choose from 3 different directional characteristics for your recordings, omnidirectional, cardioid, and cardioid (-10dB). With cardioid (-10dB), the sensitivity of the microphone is reduced, so you can record loud sounds without distortion. When you connect the microphone to your computer with a USB cable, it works right away. This means you don't need an external audio interface to record sound. With the included tripod, you can stably place the microphone wherever you want.

Ridiculously good sound quality for this price, really sounds almost as good as studio microphones if you google how to set everything up with Audacity, the free software that is NOT mandatory but recommended.
Certainly for YouTubers a cheap but great microphone.
