According to our studio microphone expert
This compact USB microphone works immediately after connecting it via an USB cable to your computer.
With the tripod, you can firmly place your microphone.
The Blue Snowball Ice only has 1 recording mode, while the Blue Snowball uses 3 different modes.
The Blue Snowball is a starter model USB microphone that records sound at 16 bit/44.1kHz. That's ideal for your stream, podcast, or music productions. This compact USB microphone works right after you connect it to your computer via a USB cable. So you don't need an external audio interface to record audio. The cardioid directional characteristics ensure that the microphone is versatile. This makes the microphone suitable for recording vocals and instruments. And with the included tripod, you can put the microphone in a stable position anywhere you like.

The device is plug and play. No configuration is required to use the microphone and it really sounds great without any noise!
The only downside I can think of is that there is no on/off button, so you have to switch off the microphone by software.

Overall I am very satisfied with this microphone. it is easy to install, the design looks good, it is quite easy to use. the sound quality is decent, but since it's a not-too-expensive microphone, the price/quality ratio is more than fine. the only downside in my opinion is that it doesn't have quick buttons to change the sound levels, or a button to temporarily mute or mute the microphone. I would definitely recommend this mic to anyone who needs a good budget mic, or anyone who is just starting to stream or record. and it is even very useful for someone with more experience
