According to our circular saw expert
The maximum cutting depth is 66 millimeters, so you can easily work with thick boards.
With a weight of 3.6 kilograms, it is compact and easy to use for a long time.
Thanks to the dust extraction, you keep the work area as dust-free as possible.
Just 1 saw blade included.
The light weight and compact design of the Bosch GKS 165 make it a very user-friendly and handy circular saw. This does not alter the fact that he has enough power to work with the 165 millimeter wide saw blade up to 66 millimeters deep in wood. Here, the high speed of 4900 ensures. Sawing in Miter is also possible with the GKS 165. You can cut up to 47 millimeters deep at an angle of 45 degrees. The 1100 watt circular saw is equipped with a handy extra handle, which keeps the saw well balanced and makes accurate cuts.
Big minus: The 'security button' that you have to press with your thumb before you can flip the switch to cut, sticks. When putting down/picking up the machine again, you can then easily start the saw 'accidentally'. The idea of the extra safety function is gone with this. Other than that, it's a good saw. The top is too coarse for plywood/board material.

Circular saw has sufficient power to saw smoothly and accurately (hard) wood. The relatively low weight ensures that you can easily carry out work for a longer period of time. Personally, I think it's a shame that there is no storage box.
