According to our compact camera expert
The tiltable screen provides flexibility when choosing your point of view.
With the Post Focus function, you can set a picture's depth of field afterwards.
You can closely zoom in on your subject without losing image quality.
You can't mount an external flash on the camera.
A memory card isn't included.
With the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90, you'll have a compact camera full of selfie functions. The camera's LCD touchscreen can be rotated 180 degrees so you can see yourself. Together with the Panorama Selfie function and the Self Shot function, you can easily make different types of selfies. Via the Post Focus function, you can set the depth of field of a photo via the touchscreen afterwards. Photos and videos are shot in qualities up to 4K. With the wide viewing angle of the lens, you can photograph vast landscapes. The camera is equipped with 30x optical zoom, so you can enlarge objects that are far away without losing image quality.

My previous camera was a TZ60, and this TZ90 is clearly an improvement with touch display, 4K video, more options and even better response.

Made beautiful photos. Camera fits in jacket pocket which is very important to me. The sliders for the lens that open automatically when the camera is turned on are fragile. So handle with care.

I have been an avid user of a Panasonic Lumix camera for years. Due to its size, this camera is not always easy to carry. That's why I went looking for a compact model if I don't want to go out with the large camera.
The reviews of the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90 were very promising. The tilting screen, making the videos and the large zoom really appealed to me. I have ordered the camera and have been using it happily for the past few weeks.
But the quality of the photos and videos are very disappointing. When using the zoom, the quality of the image deteriorates greatly. There is also a lot of grain visible. With a minimal movement of what you want to photograph, your photo is already out of focus. And the videos are also of poor quality. If the light is favorable and your subject is not moving, you will get photos of reasonable quality.
I am very disappointed with the result of the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90. My current Panasonic camera, which is already somewhat dated, gives a much better image quality. And even my cell phone delivers better pictures than the Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90.
