According to our alarm system expert
In case of sabotage, you'll receive a notification and the siren will be triggered immediately.
All alarm system elements are covered by an extended 5-year warranty.
In case of a power failure, you'll be sure that the system will continue to work thanks to its backup battery and SIM card.
You need a stable WiFi network to make optimal use of the alarm system.
The Somfy Protexiom Advanced is a complete, wireless alarm system. The set consists of a control panel, central hub, NFC tag, siren, and a remote control, as well as 2 magnetic contacts and 2 motion detectors. All elements have been pre-programmed to immediately communicate with each other. You can control the system via your smartphone, tablet, and pc, or via the control panel and the NFC tag. You can link up to 4 persons to the alarm system who'll receive a notification in case the system detects something, allowing them to take action straight away. The central hub has a SIM card slot, which you can use for added security. In case of a power failure (causing your internet connection to drop), the system will switch to the SIM card, but this does come with subscription fees. You can pre-program 3 different security areas. You can choose to switch on only the ground floor alarm when you're sleeping upstairs, for example.

This system cannot be installed for a layman, so they sought help from Somfy customer service, but they don't know either. We have everything assembled but regret not buying something else because it only works when we are at home, via the wifi, we don't get a notification on the mobile phone when we are elsewhere, so not handy!

The alarm system mounted in accordance with the operating instructions. During testing, the siren does not make any more noise than a WhatsApp message that comes in and the text messages are not sent. Somfy customer service (external company) doesn't know it all and pass it on to Somfy itself. After 3 days of waiting and having heard nothing from Somfy (of course called several times), everything was disassembled and Coolblue is such a top company who understand that this is not the intention.

Installed like that, works well. Disappointment is the control panel. This is not illuminated, so 'by touch' in the dark. Also, this control panel does not always work, so you sometimes have to enter the code 2 or 3 times before the alarm goes off.
