According to our tripod expert
Thanks to the included pin joint mount, you can attach a smartphone to GoPro accessories.
The Gorillapod can be used as a tripod as well as a selfie stick.
The tripod isn't suitable for small compact cameras.
With the Joby GorillaPod Action Kit, you can make stable recordings with your action camera or smartphone up to 500gr. Thanks to the included pin joint, you can attach a smartphone to every universal GoPro accessory. The flexible legs bend around branches, pipes, and poles to record stably everywhere. Thanks to the rubber layer around the legs, the tripod remains securely on slippery surfaces, Via the included Bluetooth remote, you can control an action camera or smartphone remotely.
The legs are very flexible and can be attached to almost anything. I saw some people comment that your device can't be put in a vertical position, but if you get a little creative, you can rotate the legs so that you can. The legs are long enough for it anyway.
Very nice to be able to film like this. It also offers good grip when filming handheld, much nicer to hold than a thin phone. It is a handy little thing that you can easily take with you.
The only downside is that it could support slightly larger devices. The space for your device is not that big, it fits, but there is not much left. Since smartphones are getting bigger these days, I'm not sure whether future devices will still fit.

You pay a good price but also get a quality product in return. Nothing negative to say about it, but if I have to try hard, there are only 2 things that were a bit disappointing:
