According to our robot expert
Both smartphones and tablets are suitable for controlling the robot ball.
Thanks to the face recognition in the app you control the Mini without hands.
You can play for up to 45 minutes, after which you have to recharge the Mini.
You can control the Sphero Mini robot ball in 7 different ways. With your face, for example. The app has facial recognition, so the robot ball reacts to your facial expressions. Download the app, place your phone in the included phone mount, and control the Mini without using your hands. You can also use the robot ball as a joystick with a couple of games in the app. Simply connect your smartphone or tablet to the Mini via Bluetooth, and you'll have a range of up to 10m. Thanks to the built-in LED light, you'll also see where you're sending the robot ball in the dark.

Initially bought the sphere mini as a toy for the cats ..,, and that is certainly a success!! I sometimes howl with laughter ..,, and the cats are much less active at night so that we can sleep normally. Everybody happy basta

It is a sturdy product that does not just break, fun to play with. If you want you can follow a learning path via the app to pick up something about programming, but that is not necessary to just have fun playing with it. There are pawns included to make a trail, but I use it to drive the cat crazy.
