According to our air purifier expert
Thanks to the app, you can also control the air purifier remotely or when you're not home.
With the child safety lock, you can lock the buttons of the appliance.
You're always up to date about the air quality in the room, thanks to this useful light ring.
The air purifier stops working if you do not replace the filters on time.
The Phillips AC1214/10 keeps an eye on the air quality with various sensors and cleans the air in any room up to 53m². Via the light ring, the air purifier shows the current air quality. If the sensor notices a change in air quality, the air purifier will work harder. With the HEPA and carbon filter, the purifier removes 99.97% of the dust, pollen, bacteria, and viruses from the air. You can control the air purifier with the buttons on the control panel and via the smartphone app. Useful, because you can adjust the settings from your comfy chair. Thanks to the night mode, the purifier is also suitable for the bedroom.
Note: if the filter replacement light is flashing, you have to replace the filters. If the air purifier is turned on 12 hours per day, you have to change the HEPA filter after 12 months. If you don't, the air purifier will stop working.Performances

Functionality
The air purifier seems to be working fine. We mainly bothered him against wood smoke.
However, the device does have a few drawbacks regarding the sleep mode (this is typical Philips because they make the same mistakes with their humidifiers, see reviews elsewhere) Philips apparently finds it necessary to produce a beep with every key touch. This is annoying when you want to change the setting at night and people are sleeping. The LED also provides quite a lot of light at night. To top it off, a tune plays when the timer is up, which is fun at night too. It's a mystery why the sleep modes on these types of devices are so poorly thought out.

The air purifier works really well. We are very satisfied with it. The air is cleaned really well. Especially now that the hay fever season is slowly starting again. In addition, the sleep mode is really good. I sleep very lightly and can't stand a lot of noise. But this device makes so little noise in sleep mode that it doesn't even bother me. Another tip. You should now download the Philips Home app instead of the Air matters app. This is indicated on the Philips site.
