What a great camera this is! In terms of results, it can be almost the same as an SLR, but is a lot more manageable. I have been using this Sony camera for a few weeks now and I am very pleased with it. The expectations were high before I received it, especially considering the price for a compact camera, but they have been fulfilled. The camera was installed in no time, the battery charges quite quickly and the buttons on the device speak for themselves (if you are already somewhat familiar with cameras).
I prefer to photograph in nature and then it is sometimes quite an art to get a moving animal razor sharp in the picture .. but not with this camera. He focuses very quickly and the flying objects are also sharply captured. The photos have beautiful, bright colors. The Zeiss lens is of good quality. It could have had a little more than 70mm of range, but because I mainly shoot up close and the landscape photos are also sharp, it's not really a downside for me personally.
The camera is very compact and also light in weight, so convenient to take with you. Handy for a day out or to take in nature. I find it a pity that for this price only a hand cord is included, I normally use a cord for around the neck and that must be purchased separately from this brand.
The camera offers a lot of possibilities, you can adjust many different settings to your liking. Wide choice of modes, setting aperture/shutter speed, you can shoot in RAW which I really like, etc. It takes a while to figure out what gives the best result, but luckily I like to do that. For a beginner, the automatic mode is already a good option, you can also take great photos with it. Due to the amount of settings, this device will also be suitable for the more experienced photographer. I am only a hobby photographer but have been doing this for a while with great pleasure and I am completely satisfied with this camera.
It will also be an asset for the vloggers, given the quality of the videos in combination with the compactness of the device.
I also really like the design: sleek, modern and with a sturdy housing. The battery lasts quite a long time, a lot longer even than my other compact camera from an equally well-known brand.
In short: a user-friendly, compact camera that delivers good performance. The lens is of good quality, the autofocus is fast and the photos are sharp and clear. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a good quality camera with many options and that is handy to take with you on the road.

Our previous camera had to be replaced (a Panasonic TZ-30), after long hesitation between a number of models, went for the Sony RX100 VA, and we haven't regretted it for a moment. In the end it's not exactly the cheapest you can find, so I expected something from it, luckily those expectations have been fulfilled, there is currently a cashback promotion from Sony.
The autofocus is simply lightning fast, it takes some practice/set that it also focuses on what you want to photograph, then you have really beautiful photos, such as eg. the attached photos.
It's great that you can film in 4k, but then you have huge files, so we usually film in "regular" HD, and the image stabilization seems to work very well.
It is a compact camera but it is not really super light or super compact, and feels very solid, you know when you have it in your hands.
Although I'm not a big fan of pop-up flashes, you don't really need the flash often because it's a light-sensitive lens with a large sensor, the room needs to be dimly lit before you activate the flash. The bright lens here has the disadvantage that the zoom is only 3x.
Thanks to the Wi-fi function, you can transfer your photos without the hassle of cables, we also included the Jupio battery kit, so we can charge the batteries externally without the cable having to go into the camera.
You can take beautiful pictures in automatic mode, but if desired, there are so many settings, manual modes, RAW file options, etc. that the (amateur) photographer can enjoy.
There is also the tiltable screen, but only a 45°, a cord that you can hang on the left or right and of course the fast delivery and fantastic service from Coolblue :-)

The tilting screen for bird and frog's eye view expands the photographic possibilities. The large aperture improves not only portrait shooting but also shooting in dark conditions.
