According to our Blu-ray player expert
Play 4K Blu-rays and enjoy high-quality movies.
Listen to razor-sharp sound, thanks to Dolby Atmos support.
Thanks to the integrated smart TV, you can play apps such as Netflix on the Blu-ray player.
An HDMI cable isn't included.
With the Panasonic DP-UB824 you can enjoy 4K images when you watch a Blu-ray DVD or stream videos. Thanks to the 4K UHD support you look at images with a resolution that is 4 times higher than that of Full HD. This results in even the smallest details. Do you value a precise color reproduction? Thanks to the HCX processor, the colors come out better. This copy supports 4K video on demand. This means that you are streaming 4K content via Netflix or YouTube.
I come from a Sony x800 and I recommend anyone to spend the extra money on this player it really makes a world of difference picture and sound quality is night and day difference and never hitches or skips discs ok did it play some 4K discs the Sony did not want to play really recommended

Nice device, good quality, but light in weight. Easy to set up. The AB is less intuitive, I often pressed a wrong button, and then the blu-ray starts again... Then you have to be patient and look for where you were. Also getting used to. Nice that you can also play CDs.

In this age of streaming services you no longer need physical media, you would think, I thought so too, but this is an error of judgment.
I connected this 4K player via Arc to a 66" Panasonic OLED and a good sound system, and people, what magic in terms of image and sound and experience!
Films that perform marginally on Netflix or purchased on YouTube are incomparable in terms of depth, contrast, color and sound to their HDR 4k physical equivalent.
You want this for your absolute favorite films that you have already seen several times, but which now really come into their own thanks to a combination of a good OLED and this player.
