According to our camera lens expert
The lens is suitable for various conditions, thanks to the water, dust, and dirt-repellent coating.
Thanks to the zoom range of 24 to 70mm, you can photograph your subjects up close and from a distance.
Thanks to the shortest focal distance of 38 centimeters, you can take clear close-up photos.
The lens doesn't have image stabilization to reduce motion blur.
Due to the 805g weight, the lens may feel quite heavy.
Take the Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 with you while hiking in the mountains or in the woods without any problems. This lens is suitable for Nikon mirrorless cameras. It has a water, dust, and dirt-repellent coating, which allows you to use it in various conditions. Thanks to the zoom range, the lens is suitable for capturing subjects up close and from a distance, without switching lenses. You can focus from 38cm and take detailed close-up photos of people, flowers, or animals. The f/2.8 aperture creates a natural background blur, which you often find in portrait photography. Thanks to the large aperture, the lens catches a lot of light, which allows you to take clear photos at dark locations as well.

Lens type
Standard, Wide-angleFor the demanding photographer, this is a super sharp and fast (bright) lens with a standard zoom range. I find it a bit heavy on the Z6 body and I expected that they could make this f/2.8 in the new Z version a bit more compact. But it is still smaller and lighter than the Nikon F version and there is really nothing to complain about in terms of quality. The autofocus is remarkably quiet and fast. Actually a no-brainer for the real enthusiast who wants to get the most out of the full-frame Nikon Z. And has the budget for it... because this lens has a hefty price tag.
