According to our earbuds expert
With the H1 chip, you can automatically connect the earbuds to your Apple devices and activate Siri with your voice.
Thanks to the completely wireless design, you're not bothered by cables dangling along your body or in your neck.
You need an Apple iPhone, iPad, or Mac to get the most out of the AirPods.
The case is unsuitable for wireless charging, so you'll have to charge it wired.
Note: the included charging case has to be charged by wire.
With Apple AirPods 2, you can address Siri without touching your earbuds. This now works via voice commands, like with the iPhone. The earbuds turn on automatically when you put them in your ears and pause when you take them out. You can charge the charging case with the included Lightning to USB charging cable. With a full battery, you can use the AirPods to listen to music for 5 hours. When you add the battery of the charging case, you can listen to your favorite songs for 24 hours.
H1 chipThe earbuds have the H1 chip, which was designed by Apple. This chip ensures that it only takes you seconds to connect your earbuds with all your iCloud devices. This means you can quickly switch from your MacBook to your iPhone and back. In addition, the chip ensures a stable connection.
Android compatibilityWhen you connect your AirPods to your Android smartphone, you can use all of the basic functions. That way, you can listen to your favorite music wirelessly via Bluetooth. The music won't accidentally pause when you take one earbud out of your ear, you can't check the battery status, and you'll have to connect the earbuds manually every time.
Sound according to expertThe Apple AirPods 2 aren't for you if you love listening to powerful bass. Since these are earbuds, they don't fully seal your ears. This means the bass doesn't come through very well. The mid-range isn't boosted, so the instruments and vocals sound like the artist intended. You can't adjust the sound via an equalizer, so you'll have to do with the factory settings.
Note: Apple does include a charging cable, but no charger. Use your current accessories, or purchase them separately.

I bought these AirPods generation 2 because I heard from many friends that AirPods are really ideal for the gym and on the go and I have to say this is true.
With the new H1 chip they connect so fast that you hardly notice that they are connected, everything goes at once and also fast. The battery lasts for 15 minutes in the charging case and the AirPods are good to use again for a few hours. The audio quality is excellent for mainstream music: HipHop, EDM, Rock and noise (Hardcore, Hardstyle & Rawstyle :P) sound good. The new “hey siri” is also really an addition, no more that annoying tapping for siri response, but just talking to yourself.
I recommend them to everyone, for the price and ease of use you will not find better.

Very handy wireless earphones when you receive a call, e.g. you can quickly answer or if you are listening to music and your phone is not at hand with two taps on your AirPod the next song will play
