According to our air cooler expert
The air cooler has a built-in ionization function, so it purifies the air in the room.
You can operate the air cooler from the comfort of your chair thanks to the included remote.
The 47dB noise level makes this portable air cooler relatively silent.
An air cooler is not an air conditioner, so it doesn't cool the air with a cooling component. The room temperature remains constant.
The Honeywell TC10PCE provides a cooler room on hot days, without producing an annoying noise. This air cooler is relatively silent so you can only tell by the fresh air that it's switched on. The TC10PCE has 3 speeds, which you can easily set with the remote. In addition, the air cooler has a built-in ionization function that purifies the air in the room. This device also has a large 10L water tank to add cold water. Unlike with a standard fan, this water is used to blow colder air around. You decide if you only want to use the fan or the extra cooling as well. Thanks to the wheels on the bottom, you can easily roll the air cooler from your living room to an extra room or your home office.
Note: an air cooler is not a portable air conditioner. It's more like a fan that creates a breeze of fresh air.

I don't think all the other reviews clearly tell the truth about this product. To avoid a bad buy (and unnecessary transport by Coolblue), I'll give you the following info. In a heat wave, if your whole house is very hot inside, then this unit is NOT capable of cooling rooms, not even a tiny bedroom of 10m². What the device does then: if you pour cold water (pour 5 x 1.5l bottles from the refrigerator into the receptacle) into the device, and point the device at you while watching TV or while sleeping, you will the airflow a few degrees extra cooling. But ONLY IN THE AIRFLOW ITSELF. To give you an idea: it was recently 28 degrees in our living room. With only the fan function, you get the temperature IN THE AIRFLOW (not : in the room) to 26.5 degrees. If you then switch on the cooling function, the temperature IN THE AIRFLOW (not: in the room) will drop further to 23.5 degrees. So 3 degrees extra cooling. Again: the room does NOT cool with this temperature drop, only the place where the "wind" blows out of the device. If that 3 degrees of coolness is worth the price for you, then you can buy this great fan. So don't expect any "magic effect"! If you want a fresh cool room, the only solution is an air conditioner. If you want to sleep/work/watch TV in a slightly cooler airflow, then it might be for you.

The air cooler produces little noise and thanks to the large reservoir you hardly have to refill it. The disadvantage is that the filling opening is small, making it difficult to put ice cubes in it. With a little struggle you can remove the filling tray and file away two corners (for less messing around next time) and now you can easily add ice cubes. Believe me, they are necessary to get the temperature down a bit (just like with all other air coolers). I solved the short cord by adding an extension cord. I solved not having a timer with a smart plug that I had lying around. Now Google turns it off for me :)
