The drive works fast and is reliable. The included toolkit is a handy tool. However, the product is a bit expensive. The blue LED lamp is also a bit strong for the eyes.

I like the product because it is mainly quiet. Even on a desk where it usually produces a lot of sound as a sound box. Much quieter than, for example, a g-drive!

I have a lacie D2 on thunderbolt and it makes more noise and often spins when it doesn't seem to be doing anything. The difference in speed seems negligible to me.

USB version
USB 4 Gen 2x1Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our external hard drive HDD expert
Lots of storage on the go: with 8 terabytes of storage, you’ll always have enough space for your largest files, programs, and media.
Better file security: your sensitive files are better protected with password protection and data encryption.
5 years of data recovery: LaCie recovers lost or damaged files within 5 years of purchase with its data recovery service.
Less easy to take with you: you can take this large HDD with you less easily than a portable HDD.
No protection against fall damage: this HDD doesn't have a rugged case that protects it from fall damage.
