According to our drill expert
Thanks to the light 1.4kg weight, you can easily control the hammer drill.
You can also drill in poorly-lit places thanks to the built-in light.
You can use the included battery on other power tools with the same battery platform.
Without a rotation stop, you can't do demolition work such as breaking down a stone wall.
With a drill diameter of 10mm, you can only drill small holes in concrete.
The Bosch Uneo Maxx (no battery) is a complete set for all kinds of screwing and drilling jobs in and around the house. The 18-volt cordless drill hammer comes with a keyless drill chuck, so you can also attach 'regular' bits and wood drills to the drill head in no time. If you switch on the hammer function, the 0.6-joule impact force also lets you make (small) holes in concrete. The special design of the Uneo Maxx and its light weight of only 1.4 kilograms allow you to carry out DIY jobs that take a little more time. To complete this cordless drill hammer, it has convenient LED lighting. The hammer drill works on a Bosch Power For All 18-volt battery (not included).
I bought this BOSCH UNEO MAXX last month. I was looking for an easy-to-use screw-drill machine for all jobs in and around the house. The 18-volt PNEUMATIC cordless hammer drill comes with a quick-release drill chuck so that 'normal' bits and drills can also be attached to the drill chuck, in addition to the handy SDS accessories. The pneumatic hammer function works very well for smaller holes in the wall, you really notice the difference in sound and performance, unfortunately the head can handle a maximum of 10mm drill, which makes it not the best in its segment. A handy feature is that you can simply attach the 18V battery to other BOSCH machines and exchange the batteries among each other. I used this machine to drill smaller (8mm) holes in a brick wall. (Placing roof battens for a new wooden cladding) Of course this was no problem for this machine. The battery lasted a long time and with an extra LED lighting, mounted at the bottom of the machine, it makes itself very user-friendly and gave light exactly where it was needed. It has a good grip and is quite lightweight. The average handyman will certainly love this machine !! However, I couldn't control the speeds anywhere. The downside is that if you use the quick-release chuck with a good bit, the machine is completely out of balance and you can no longer simply place it on the table with the bottom of the machine. The weight is no longer evenly distributed, so you always have to put it on its side. Several times I just put him on the table and he just fell forward right on the bit. The conclusion is that I am certainly happy with this powerhouse for the average handyman, not for the professional user.

It is a top drill with a good price/quality ratio for your standard jobs in and around the house. I don't think you'll want to buy this drill for the more powerful jobs, as it didn't cut through the concrete walls on mine, for example. It's very nice that you get some drills included, so you can get started right away and you don't have to wonder whether the drills are compatible. It is a light drill that fits well in the hand. The noise is also not that bad, depending on what material you are drilling through, but the drill itself produces an acceptable number of decibels. How to use this drill is quickly clear by looking at the colours/icons on the drill itself and otherwise there is an included manual available in an incredible number of languages where it can be found in. Overall, if you do occasionally do some sturdier jobs, I would recommend a slightly sturdier drill bit, otherwise this is a good choice.

After years of borrowing drills from friends and family, I finally bought one myself. I chose this one because it is a cordless drill and a hammer drill. Happy with my choice so far! I was a bit worried in advance about whether it would really get through my concrete walls, but it works fine. A bit slower than my father's wired Hikoki (with which you only have to point at a wall and there is a hole in it), but that is actually nice: the slower pace gives more of a feeling of control. The light weight and the fact that it is wireless contribute even more to this. I also find the Power for All battery system useful - it can be used for Bosch devices but also a number of other brands.
It's a pity that it is not clearly stated what kind of drills are included. None of the included drills turned out to have an SDS-quick connection, so I had to buy additional drills before I could use the hammer drill setting. That won't make you bankrupt, but I would have preferred to know in advance. The second disadvantage is that it does indeed fall over with the quick-release head on it. This makes it difficult to place it in a narrow windowsill, for example, when you unscrew the curtain rails.
I dare not speak for super fanatical handymen, but for people like me, who occasionally want to hang something up, I think this is a great choice!
