According to our headphones expert
The mid-range noise canceling reduces a fair amount of ambient noise, so you hear less of your surroundings.
Thanks to the fast charge function, you can use the headphones for 1 hour after just 10 minutes of charging.
With the Sony Headphones Connect app, you can personalize the sound reproduction via an equalizer.
An airplane adapter isn't included.
You can reduce noises around you and listen to music with the Sony WH-XB900N. These wireless headphones have active noise canceling, which reduces distracting ambient noise and white noise. This is ideal if you use public transport often. You can quickly set up a Bluetooth connection by briefly touching the NFC point of both devices. Is the battery empty? In just 10 minutes, you can charge it enough to listen to music again for 1 hour. When the noise canceling is on, the battery lasts for 30 hours. Without noise canceling, the battery lasts for 35 hours.
Noise cancelingThe Sony WH-XB900N have mid-range noise canceling. This means that the headphones adequately reduce ambient noise, but they don't shut you off completely. With noise canceling, ambient noise is analyzed and transformed into an anti-noise. This way, you'll hear less ambient noise while you listen to your favorite music.
NFCYou can use NFC to quickly establish a connection between the headphones and your smartphone. You do this by briefly touching the NFC point of your smartphone with the NFC point of your headphones. You can recognize the NFC points by the N logo. You'll find this logo on the ear cups of your headphones and on the back of your smartphone.
Sound according to the expertThe sound of the WH-XB900N is something for bass lovers. The bass tones are very emphatically present, which means that they predominate in the sound profile. The medium-high tones are balanced except for a small peak. The small peak is in the high mid-range, which makes the music more detailed for some listeners and slightly shrill for others. Do you want to adjust the sound to your own taste? You can use the equalizer.
Fits perfectly, I can keep the headphones on for a long time and this is useful if you are writing or learning something for a long time, for example.

I bought these headphones for my 78-year-old father. However, I did not realize that the operation with a touch system is on the shell of the headphones. You don't see exactly where you have to tap and what what is used for. That is very difficult. One with buttons would have been more convenient for him. Was it for myself or a youngster: Top thing!
