According to our smart home hub expert
Thanks to voice control, you can control the hub without using your smartphone or tablet.
You're always aware of your calendar and the weather, but you can also view live images from your smart doorbell or camera via the screen,
Because the hub has a built-in camera, you can also use the screen for video calls.
The hub doesn't support all communication protocols, so you sometimes need a bridge or IFTTT to connect devices.
You need a Google account to use functions such as calendar management.
With the Lenovo SD-8501F smart display 8 inch you control all smart home products in your home. You do that using your voice or the 8 inch touchscreen. Thanks to the built-in camera, you can easily make video calls. Do you need privacy? Then you close the camera so that nobody is watching. In addition, you set the temperature on your thermostat without getting up. Is someone walking in your garden? Then the screen automatically switches to the live image of your IP camera. Do you want to cook a difficult recipe? The Lenovo SD-8501F shows you all the steps of the recipe. This is how you read while cooking.
Ideal when our grandson is there, I don't always lose my phone.

Mixed feelings with this 8 inch Lenovo smart display. Sound, for example, is a major setback when listening to music. Speech is fine. Good price via Coolblue, so it's nice to test it out.

It is a great smart voice with display. Bought as a video phone for my mother. Installation was really very easy.
