The BAR can be loud and the sound remains good. Because I really miss the surround, I also bought 2 FLEX. Those things are (in themselves) really good! what a difference! I can imagine that with a BAS the whole will be even better, but I'm not sure if I'll buy that yet, the bass has already been improved with the flex added (this was already a big expense and I have to think about the neighbors). In short, if you are used to TV sound coming from your TV, the BAR is a major improvement, if you are used to surround you need at least 2 FLEX. The downside is their app. you have to click a lot back and forth and restart every time you want to adjust something. hope they improve on that soon.
