According to our audio interface expert
You can make clear microphone recordings, thanks to the 2 switchable AIR preamps that emulate the sound characteristics of Rupert Neves ISA preamps.
The interface has 2 instrument inputs that can easily handle a loud signal.
Thanks to the 2 balanced line inputs, you can connect synthesizers and drum computers to the audio interface.
The interface doesn't have S/PDIF or ADAT connectors, so you can't expand it later with more inputs and outputs.
The Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen is an audio interface for musicians and producers who need extra inputs and outputs. You can register sound clearly, thanks to the 2 switchable AIR preamps. These preamps mimic the sound characteristics of Rupert Neves ISA preamps. As a result, your recordings are of high quality. You have 2 instrument inputs with a lot of headroom at your disposal. That means you can record the sound of instruments loudly without the sound becoming distorted. You don't register any white noise either. Thanks to the line level inputs, you can record the sound of instruments that transmit a line level signal. This allows you to register the sound of synthesizers and drum computers. The audio interface includes The Hitmaker Expansion. With these plugins, you can start using the interface right away.

I was looking for a solution to perform live ableton on stage with my Macbook M1. With 7ms latency, this is fine.

It does what it's supposed to do and delivers great sound quality. If you only have headphones with a 3.5mm jack connection, make sure you also order an adapter plug with it.
