According to our motherboard expert
Thanks to the AM4 socket and X570 chipset, the motherboard supports the latest generation of AMD processors.
Install a maximum of 4 RAM modules, 2 M.2 SSDs and 6 SSDs or HDDs.
The X570 Aorus Elite has LED accents, but not full RGB LED lighting.
The motherboard has no built-in WiFi to connect your computer to your network wirelessly.
Note: this motherboard only work with 2nd, 3rd, and 5th generation AMD Ryzen processors with an AM4 socket.
The Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite is an ATX motherboard for avid gamers. The AM4 socket and X570 chipset are specially designed for 2nd, 3rd, and 5th AMD Ryzen processors. You can create up to 128GB RAM, spread over 4 DDR4 memory slots. The X570 Aorus Elite cools your chipset with a built-in heatsink. You can monitor the temperature via 6 temperature sensors and the Smart Fan software. Place up to 2 M.2 SSDs in the new PCIe 4.0 slots to create super fast storage in a RAID setup. In addition, you can place up to 6 SSDs or HDDs. The X570 Aorus Elite has LED accents. You can easily change the color with the Gigabyte RGB Fusion app.
Just to correct a mistake, the motherboard does support the third generation AND WITHOUT a bios update, I had one of my ram slats inserted wrong. (I'm just a noob builder :P) So third gen ryzen goes perfectly with this motherboard, 2nd gen but 1st I don't believe anymore.
I wanted to use a 450 series motherboard for the third gen ryzen cpu but I needed a bios update for that.
some useful info: An ATX motherboard of 305mm long and 244mm wide, so make sure it fits in your case. Before that I just bought gaming PCs of any brand but both Alienware and Acer motherboards are smaller than this motherboard. So if it's your first build, you'll probably have to buy a case that fits a standard atx motherboard.

This board is a bit of a beginners board. If you want to build a PC above €1500, this might not be it. It is, however, very pleasant for ease of use. Especially if you are new to building your own

It was impossible to work with until I had updated the F4 version bios to version F11, the motherboard always wanted to boot from another hard disk, there was no overview in bios of connected hard disks for boot option. the pcie plug-in cards also gave crashes. after the bios update the motherboard behaved exemplary! My creative xfi sound card is less than the onboard sound chip!
