With a maximum drill capacity of 38mm in wood, the drill is suitable for making large drill holes.
You can also use the included Makita LXT battery on other 18V electric tools of the same brand and with the same battery platform.
Thanks to the impact function, you can drill not only in wood, plaster, masonry, and metal, but also in tiles and brick.
Drill bits aren't included.
The Makita DHP485RFJ is an impact drill that you can use to perform many a task thoroughly and efficiently. Both for the DIYer and for the professional, the 18-volt drill leaves nothing to be desired. The electric motor brake ensures the DHP485RFJ stops right away when you let go of the switch. You can also regulate the idle speed very precisely with the switch. This means that as the user, you'll have full control over the screw-driving or drilling job. The impact drill has a maximum torque of 50Nm and you can use it to drill holes of up to 38 millimeters. On top of that, 2 batteries of the Makita LXT battery platform are included, which you can also use with other Makita power tools.

Just received the machine but it looks good and solid, what you can expect from Makita. Only registering this machine online for the longer warranty was not without a struggle. This version is normally not sold in the Netherlands but only delivered by Coolblue. Because of this I can't register it with Makita. After a phone call to Makita customer service where I had to send an email with the invoice and a photo of the serial number, they neatly put this in my account!
