Be careful with this cover! I bought this cover after using only Otterbox for years and am very happy with it. However, this was my first Defender. This range of cases is designed with a hard plastic inner shell with a rubber outer shell (with other cases this is just reversed with the soft material inside). This ensures that - although the phone is extremely well protected against fall damage - signs of use can be seen on your device very quickly. Dust and sand find their way between the hard plastic cover and your device and rub off on it. My brand new iPhone 11 already showed signs of use after two weeks in this case. In short: a case for extreme and harsh environments but also “hard” for the looks of your phone. Fortunately, coolblue let me return this case within the cooling-off period without any problems and I opted for the Otterbox Commuter, which also offers good protection without damaging my phone. I would only recommend the Defender to those who are not concerned with the looks of their device and are only looking for extreme fall protection.
