According to our smartwatch expert
Since the Retina Display doesn't black out, you can always see your most important functions and the time, even when you're resting.
The Apple Watch will notify pre-recorded contacts when you fall.
You can measure your heart rate with the heart rate sensor and make cardiograms with the electrocardiogram function (ECG).
To install the Apple Watch, you need the Apple iPhone and after setup, you can also use certain functions your iPhone nearby.
The Apple Watch 5 40mm Nike+ features a new Always On Retina Display that always on. Since the screen never totally blacks out, you can always see your function at a single glance. This doesn't affect the battery either, since it still lasts the entire day. In fact, it lasts about 18 hours, just like its predecessor. The Apple Watch Series 5 also features a heart rate sensor and an integrated tracker for various types of workouts, and more handy features that we're used to from the Apple Watch. With the integrated compass, you never lose sight of your goal. In addition, when you're using the compass, you can also see your altitude. The Nike+ sport band is very suitable to wear during workouts. On top of that, you can choose various exclusive Nike watch faces.
The Apple Watch is suitable for a wrist circumference of 13 to 20cm. Note: to use the Apple Watch, you need an iPhone 6S or newer with iOS 13 or newer.

I think the Apple Watch Series 5 is a stylish watch and a handy sports companion. While exercising, I can easily see the time and my workout on the sharp always on screen. I do miss a built-in sleep monitor on the Apple Watch; I download an app to measure my sleep quality.
Always on screen does not disturb, just nice I thought it would always interfere with the Apple Watch screen, but it isn't at all. The screen stays on when I'm not looking at the Apple Watch, but it dims and doesn't shine as brightly. Even when I'm working out, I always see what time it is without being distracted by the lit screen.
The right size Watch for everyone I have quite a small wrist; about 16 inches in circumference. The 40 millimeter clock fits well on my small wrist. Apple Watch Series 5 is also available in 44 millimeters. I think that's too big for my wrist, but I think the larger clock looks good on the average men's wrist. The supplied silicone strap is available in 2 sizes. The strap fits nicely on my wrist, even during exercise. For business use I think I would buy another strap, for example the link strap.
heart rate monitor I had already read a lot about the electric heart rate monitor, but now I test it myself. I open the ECG app, put my finger on the Digital Crown and Apple Watch starts measuring right away. The 30-second heart rate measurement is very precise: if I breathe more slowly, my heart rate slows down visibly on the clock. After 30 seconds I get an overview of the measurement. Even when I start a workout in the gym, the Apple Watch carefully tracks my heart rate.
All apps directly on my wrist All messages that come in on my iPhone, I also see on Apple Watch. When my friend texts me, Siri even reads the message. If I want to respond, I choose from a number of standard answers. I can't type my own answer on Apple Watch, but I can record it via Siri.
Lots of storage space for all my apps Apple Watch Series 5 has a whopping 32 GB of storage. That would be too little for my iPhone, but that's more than enough for Apple Watch. I've downloaded all my favorite apps and put Apple Music playlists on Apple Watch and still have plenty of space left.

After much deliberation, I decided to return the Apple Watch 5. The reason? You can do too much with it, which it often just isn't, but what you paid for.
For almost 500 euros you have a huge Apple lock-in (because the watch doesn't work with Android) and you have a kind of small extra computer on your wrist. When the novelty wears off, you quickly wonder what extras the Apple Watch offers on top of the iPhone you also carry with you. That's where I'm going wrong.
It's nice to have a decibel meter on your wrist, but once you start measuring that taking a pee is about 45dB, you've left the peak of usefulness behind you. I never needed a compass. The always-on display is nice, but you can't schedule it so that you can't wear the watch at night because then you are in the light. Diving into the settings every time is something like that. The battery lasts a day, so every day you need an hour somewhere to recharge the watch. If you do that at night then you don't have a sleep registration, so you have to do it somewhere during the day. During the day I am busy with other things. Of the dials that are included (and you cannot expand), there are mainly those that are a showcase of the beautiful screen, but functionally there are only 2 or 3. For a primary purpose as displaying time, it is quite scanty.
So is it a worthless smart-watch? No not at all. It even has its own app store and you can do a lot with it, but little that you can't do more conveniently with your iPhone on the larger screen. In the end I noticed that for me the apple watch mainly became a buzzer for new notifications. So that I could quickly and discreetly check my wrist to see what's coming in. But, we are talking about a notification-transmitting device of almost 500 euros (without extra straps) and yes, hello ... there are really a lot of other smart-watches and sports-watches for much less money. .
Therefore: return. I can spend this money better.

As we know from Apple, the watch comes in a very nice stylish box. You take the watch out of the box and place it near your iPhone and ... that's the installation. Your iPhone takes care of everything for you. The watch and your iPhone ask a number of questions and voala. Your watch is ready for use. You even control your Apple TV with your watch because it simply hangs on your wrist.
