According to our cooler expert
With a capacity of 39L, this is a spacious cooler.
The 2-part lid reduces heat loss when opening the cooler.
The cooling capacity of a thermoelectric cooler depends on the outdoor temperature.
You can quickly cool beverages with the Mobicool MQ40A cooler. Thanks to the double ventilation system, it quickly reaches a cold temperature up to 20 degrees below the ambient temperature. With a 39L capacity, you have enough space for a few 1.5-liter bottles and snacks for a picnic. On the go, you can use the 12V car charger to keep the content cool for as long as possible. You can use the standard cable at home. The lid opens in 2 parts so you'll lose as little cold air as possible. If you're not using the cable, you can neatly store it in the special compartment in the lid.
I bought this cool box to take with me on holiday to Northern Spain. The day before we went for a drive we did some shopping and then the cool box during the afternoon, let it run at full power evening and night to pre-cool the groceries before the ride. The next day it turned out that the groceries were barely colder than the day before. Cooling 20 degrees, which he should be able to achieve according to the specifications, did not save him in practice. Luckily we had ice packs in the freezer and a 12-volt socket in the car, so the groceries stayed cold the first day. The remaining 20 days of our holiday was a disaster with this cool box: cheese in a closed container started to mold and due to a design flaw the condensation water entered the cool box itself, so that the groceries were subjected drop by drop to a Chinese water torture. It appears that this product is a prototype rather than a product that has been extensively tested before it was launched on the market.
