According to our IP camera expert
Because the cameras and doorbell store footage locally, you don't need a cloud subscription or an SD card to view footage.
The camera distinguishes between people, animals, and objects.
This IP camera is plug and play, so you can easily set it up with the app.
The battery life decreases if you use the camera more than 5 minutes per day.
The HomeBase 2 has a smaller storage than the HomeBase 3, so you can store up to 3 months of footage.
Guard 2 areas around your house with this Eufycam 2C Duo Pack. The cameras in this package are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The built-in spotlight automatically switches on when the camera detects motion at night. The Eufycam 2C recognizes the difference between people, objects, and animals. This means the light won't switch on unnecessarily when a cat passes by. The cameras work on batteries and are wirelessly connected to the included base station. You first connect the base station to your router via an Ethernet cable. After this, it'll recognize your WiFi, and the base station can also connect to your WiFi router wirelessly. Footage is stored locally and you can watch it in the app via a secure connection. This way, you don't need a cloud subscription to store footage. The built-in battery lasts 180 days with average use, after which you can recharge it.

I have been using the cameras for a month and a half now. The camera inside still indicates a full battery. The camera in the backyard still shows 80% battery. The battery life of 6 months seems feasible in my situation.
You can easily create presets for home, away, silent alarm, etc. You can create and name these presets yourself. App also works with geofencing, you can then set which preset you want when present and absent. The app will always have to run in the background on your smartphone. I do not experience that this costs battery life of your smartphone (iPhone X of 2.5 years old).
In Apple Home it sometimes takes 10 to 20 seconds before there is a live image from the camera. This delay does not exist in the Eufycam app. When you view the image live, the delay is really minimal. This applies to 4G and WiFi.

Very cool product, but the detection of events is disappointing in my case. I use it as an angled front door camera, and it often misses events. For example: man brings package (not filmed), man takes package back (filmed), gives package to neighbor who puts it at the door (not filmed). In the meantime I have set it up differently and now it is a bit better but the battery life is only 2 months.

Looking for a camera without a subscription and for an affordable price I came across this one. The camera has been hanging for a week now and so far we have had good experiences.
I have two cameras. One in the front yard and one in the backyard. I can film my entire driveway but the image is only picked up halfway down the path. In some cases the image does not grab, so far that is only when there is a run… also the neighborhood cats are filmed at night, which I don't think is a problem, sometimes that produces quite funny images.
In terms of price and quality I have nothing to complain about so far.
