According to our external hard drive HDD expert
Save over a million photos, so you never loose an image again.
It has USB 3.0, for a faster throughput speed.
With the WD Backup software, you automatically back up all your files.
The drive needs to be formatted again before you can use it with Mac.
The power is supplied via an extra power cable, not via the USB cable.
Save all your photos, videos, and files on the WD My Book 14TB. For example, you can store 1.400.000 photos of 10MB or over 330 Full HD movies. Make automatic backups of your files with the WD Smartware Pro software. The WD My Book does this quietly in the background while you're working. The 3.5-inch My Book has the size of a thick book, so it doesn't take up much space on your desk. You transfer data via USB 3.0, which is up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. A USB 3.0 cable is included.
Whether it continues to do so remains to be seen. Going to use it for movies, as it is now being filled looks good so far.

Nice slim, almost silent, beautiful design, plus you can store a lot of data on it.

I use the drive as a backup for photos and movies. It works perfectly and because of the 14TB I can take it again, please note about 12.73TB
