According to our doorbell chime expert
Thanks to this extra receiver for the Ring doorbell, you'll never miss a visitor again.
This chime can be connected to Ring security cameras as well, so you'll also receive detection notifications from your camera.
The receiver amplifies the WiFi signal via a built-in dual-band antenna, which improves the range of your network connection.
The chime only works in combination with Ring products.
Due to the size of the gong, you can't plug in anything else above the socket the chime is plugged into.
With the Ring Chime Pro you can hear the doorbell ring, and you amplify the WiFi signal for your Ring devices right away. This doorbell chime is connected to your Ring doorbell or security camera. Via a motion sensor or when someone rings the doorbell, you can hear the signal of the Chime Pro. Unlike the regular Chime, the Chime Pro has a built-in dual-band WiFi antenna. This amplifies the reception in the spot where you plug the chime into the socket. That's useful, because your Ring doorbell needs a good reception to function well. Don't you have a good WiFi connection at the front door? The Chime Pro offers a solution. You can easily connect the Chime Pro to your doorbell or cameras via the Ring app.

Functionality
Ring pro does its job and boosts the WiFi signal to the doorbell. You hear the bell without your mobile phone nearby. Night light is also useful. Small minus maybe a bit too quiet if it is in another room such as the hallway for example. Also does not amplify other WiFi signals than those of ring.
