According to our router expert
This multi-room WIFi system has a faster WiFi connection than similar systems.
Protect your children from harmful websites with parental controls.
This router supports MU-MIMO, which provides a more stable wireless connection.
Because this multi-room system has only 2 stations, the coverage is limited to 1 or 2 floors.
This router only supports WiFi 5, so your wireless internet is less stable than with WiFi 6 if you're online with many devices at the same time.
Provide multiple floors in your home with the Asus ZenWiFi AC CT8 multi-room WiFi system. This system consists of 2 stations that you place in different spots in your house, for example one upstairs and the other downstairs. As such, you'll have a fast and stable WiFi signal on several floors. With the comprehensive Asus Router app, you can set up this system quickly and easily. You also use the app to manage the mesh system. Secure your network from intruders and keep your children from visiting harmful websites.
The Asus ZenWifi is a nice set of mesh routers that are very easy and quick to install. You can set many things as you see fit via the software. The range of each node is fine, but the connection via the WiFi backhaul is very unstable. Far too often you notice that the connection is suddenly super slow, you have to restart the sets. This takes quite some time before everything is connected again. Usually the 5GHz backhaul connection is OK again. This problem occurs too often in my opinion, with different firmware versions. Such a shame for such a beautiful and otherwise good set.

Installation was very easy to do, despite the brief instruction. After installation, the connection (speed) turned out to be above expectations. However, some apps on the iPhone and Apple TV, as well as some websites, could not be opened. I kept getting the message that a secure connection could not be established (SSL error). The ASUS helpdesk only commented: yes, we hear that more often. We don't know the solution. The Apple helpdesk went looking for me but couldn't come up with a solution either. As a non-techie, I obviously don't know the solution either. Conclusion: nice device but still exchange for another. Now go and try a Linksys, which is recommended by Apple.

Beautiful in design. Slow and one more slower in speed. System not stable. Often the mesh network will look for another routing that is slower than the previous one. With my single router I had more speed than with this solution. Not happy with purchase and not sure yet if it will start using or will continue to use my old single router. .
