In itself this is a good router. I was very happy with this until recently. I had an internet connection of 300 Mbps with Quality of Service turned on in the router settings and I got that speed. However, I recently switched to a 1 Gbps connection, and I only got 330 Mbps or so, very disappointing when your speed should actually go x3. After a long search it turned out to be the router. When Quality of Service is on, your internet speed slows down enormously. I'm in conversation with Asus but here are the numbers: No QoS: 950 Mbps (approximately the effective speed of my line). adaptive QoS: 650 Mbps, so 300 Mbps difference, best case with QoS. traditional QoS: 300 Mbps, so 650 Mbps (!!!!) difference, that's huge. Geforce Now QoS: 330 Mbps Bandwidth limiter (even without any actual limits set): 370 Mbps

So keep this in mind if QoS is important to you.
