According to our smartwatch expert
You can leave your wallet at home, because you can make contactless payments with your watch via Fitbit Pay.
Thanks to the built-in GPS receiver, you can also keep track of your route without a phone nearby.
Not only will you receive notifications of messages, but you can also make phone calls via the watch when your phone is nearby.
Fitbit isn't compartible with Huawei P8 Lite and P9 Lite smartphones.
This watch strap doesn't last as long as the straps of other smartwatches.
The Fitbit Versa 3 Black motivates you to keep moving all day. Thanks to the built-in GPS receiver, the watch records your sports performance and route in the Fitbit app on your smartphone without having to take it with you. This successor to the Versa 2 has a speaker as well, so you can enjoy your favorite music. You can also easily read messages from the razor-sharp AMOLED screen. The Versa 3 also measures your sleep rhythm, which improves your sleep. You can even leave your bank card at home now and pay with Fitbit Pay. Make sure to check the payment limit for large purchases, which differs per bank. You can charge your Fitbit right away with the included charger.
Note: an adapter isn't included. Want to charge the watch via the socket? Use the charger adapter of your phone charger, or order a charger adapter separately.
This watch is recommended for a wrist circumference of 15 to 17cm.

At first you think: what a great product! In my opinion, you buy a Versa 3 to be able to leave the phone at home while exercising. It therefore seems that everything is possible, an upgrade of the Versa 2 because it now has GPS. Unfortunately this is not the case, if you like music there are two options: either take your phone with you or a premium Deezer subscription. In addition to the fact that you also have to take out a Premium fitbit subscription for your health stats. That's really worthless. There is a lot of negative feedback from the Fitbit community about the music downgrade compared to the Versa 2. Unfortunately, Fitbit does not listen to its customers and there are many people who return the watch, because it is not clearly communicated that music only via a subscription to Deezer is possible. This can be read on the fitbit community forum.

Very nice watch with long battery life. I exercise 4-5 times a week. And only have to charge once in 4 days.

I like the product, I am very satisfied with my purchase! I was looking for a sports watch/activity tracker that had to meet a number of requirements:
Based on the last point, I had my doubts about the Fitbit Versa 3, or a real sports watch from a specialized brand. Based on my other wishes, I chose the Fitbit, which I have absolutely no regrets about. If you want a more reliable insight into your heart rate, then there is still work to be done for Fitbit. Because of the movements you make during a cirquit training, certain cross trainers or a combined workout, I notice that the Fitbit often estimates my heart rate too low by safely 20 BPM. A real disadvantage if you want to train with your HR zones.
The amount of functions available on the Versa 3 is very good in relation to the price. I am very satisfied with all the functions that I have tested in the past few weeks. Calling is easy to understand for me, although I understand that it sounds a bit echoing to the other caller. Great for a quick and short conversation, but that's what this function is for.
In short: the Versa 3 is a nice device for tracking your lifestyle. It is less suitable for measuring accurate sports performance, although I find that these are well measured for most workouts. The App is very accurate to use and contains enough functions in the unpaid version. If you are really looking for a smartwatch, then the smartwatch functions may be disappointing. The watch is highly recommended for sporadic use.
Oh yes, for the safety of my screen I wear a silicone case over it. I don't know how scratch-sensitive the screen is, but my experience (with my old Fitbit tracker) is that due to intensive use, the watch quickly becomes ugly. A silicone case is a really good solution that keeps the touchscreen working well. Recommended!
