According to our smartwatch expert
You can leave your wallet at home, because you can make contactless payments with your watch via Fitbit Pay.
With the EDA scanner, you gain insight into your stress level and take action to reduce it.
You don't just receive notifications of messages, but you can also make calls when your phone isn't around.
Fitbit isn't compatible with Huawei P8 Lite and P9 Lite smartphones.
The Fitbit Sense Lunar White/Gold is the most advanced smartwatch by Fitbit. It helps you balance your mind and body and reduce stress thanks to the EDA scanner. If you experience too much stress, you'll receive tips to reduce this. The watch also measures your skin temperature and the oxygen level in your blood. This gives you insight into your mental and physical condition and you get tips to improve. You'll also have an ECG heart rate monitor. You can keep track of all your routes and running performance thanks to the built-in GPS function, without your smartphone nearby. Do you want to make a contactless payment with the watch? You can do this via Fitbit Pay. Swimming or showering isn't a problem either, because the Sense is waterproof to a depth of 50m.
Note: you won't receive a charger adapter. Do you want to charge the watch via a socket? Use the charger adapter of your phone charger or order a one now.
This watch is recommended for a wrist circumference of 15 to 17cm.

The Fitbit Sense is a stylish smartwatch that motivates me to exercise enough and to live healthy. The included silicone strap is easy to clean, but the buckle with pin closure takes some getting used to.
Stylish, but strap takes getting used to I test the white/gold Fitbit Sense. The stainless steel edge on the watch case looks chic. The silicone strap is secure and does not slide. The pin closure takes some getting used to: with this you stop the end of the strap behind the watch strap, so that it does not protrude.
My health comes first The Fitbit Sense motivates me to take at least 250 steps every hour. That is sometimes quite a challenge when I work from home. In addition to the step goal, the Sense also motivates me to burn a certain number of calories, walk floors, run distance and achieve active heart rate zones. At night, the watch measures my sleep and my skin temperature, which allows the watch to detect a fever in the offing. I track my water intake, weight, diet and menstrual cycle in the Fitbit app on my smartphone. The food catalog I can choose from is only American. The app does not know Dutch products such as chocolate sprinkles.
6 months free Fitbit Premium In that app I activate my 6 months of free Fitbit Premium. This health service gives me even more insight into my health. I request extensive reports about, among other things, my heart rate. In the Fitbit app, Fitbit Premium gives me fun challenges to stay active or become more active, such as Fit with bingo. I play against my sister and try to be the first to fill my bingo card by being active.
EDA scanner to measure stress The Fitbit Sense also motivates me to relax. By measuring the electrodermal activity of my skin with an EDA scanner, the watch sees whether I am under stress or not. Through mindfulness and breathing exercises I easily bring my stress level back down.
EKG heart rate measurement The Sense measures my heart rate throughout the day. If the heart rate is too high, I get a notification from the watch. Then I know I need to take it easy. If I want more in-depth insight into my heart rate, I make an EKG scan with the Sense. With this scan I make a heart film from my wrist which gives me insight into my heart rhythm. This scan is not as accurate as in the hospital.

Time for a review if you are in doubt between the Versa3 and the Sense!
After much deliberation (choosing between Charge 4, Versa 3 and the Sense), the Sense was chosen. For the €100.00 extra compared to the Versa 3 you have a few functions: stress meter, skin temperature and ECG. To start with those three extras:
Finally, you can try out Premium for six months with the Sense (after which you pay €11 per month). I haven't tried premium yet. You seem to be able to read extra information and values, have extra on-screen workouts, etc. But frankly, I think it's a shame that you can't at least see the default values with a device of € 330.00 (sleep and stress measurement) . That's a loss!
Then there are the advantages of the Sense, which the Versa3 (and largely even the Charge4) have:
In short, a nice comprehensive watch, but for me the Versa3 (or maybe even the Charge4) would be more than sufficient. I don't think the little extras of the Sense are worth it (& €100.00).

Immediately put on after receipt, wanted to know if it really works as well as they say. I can tell you; he hasn't gone off! What a great thing. I got a better picture of my own condition. How I sleep, my stress level, my workouts and the results thereof. Thanks to the great tips and many handy analyzes I immediately see what I can work on. Of course it is also nice that the FitBit has such a beautiful design and is wonderfully easy to wear. As a result, the small computer cannot be noticed as such, but I do have all the comforts of it. I can even pay with it! Recommended.
