According to our earbuds expert
The JBL Tune 225TWS are earbuds from the Pure Bass series. Earbuds from this series provide an intense and deep bass. Since the earbuds are completely wireless, you aren't bothered by cables around your neck or on your body. This means you'll no longer get stuck and you can enjoy endless freedom of movement. You can connect the earbuds via Bluetooth to your smartphone or tablet to stream music. The earbuds last 5 hours on a full charge. The charging case has a 20-hour battery life.
Wearing methodEarbuds don't go directly into your ear canal, but rest in the round area of your ear cup. This means your ears aren't closed off completely. You can hear more of your surroundings and safely go into traffic.
Touch controlsThanks to the touch controls on the earbuds, you can control the music without taking your phone out of your pocket. With the touch-sensitive button on both earbuds, you can activate the voice assistant, pause a song, and answer incoming calls.
Note: a charger isn't included with the earbuds, only a charging cable. With a charger, you can charge the earbuds via the power grid.

Recently bought these earbuds. According to the Coolblue site, these earbuds do not have a Fast Pair, so they would not automatically connect to the last connected device. After using the earplugs, I can say that this is in any case not correct. I have paired the earbuds with an Android phone, an iPhone and a Chromebook and notice that as soon as the earbuds are turned on, they reconnect to the last device used. The manual also states that Fast Pair is supported from Android 6.
The earbuds come in a recognizable JBL packaging. The packaging contains the earbuds, a charging case, a charging cable, type USB-C and a number of booklets, including a quick start guide.
As soon as you put the earbuds in the charging case, the case will immediately start charging the earbuds. You will see a white LED on the earbuds themselves, indicating that they are being charged. The charging case itself has 3 white LEDs at the top under the lid. These light up during charging. On the basis of the LEDs you can see when the charging case itself needs to be recharged. You can use the enclosed cable for this. However, no charger is included. You will therefore have to use this from, for example, a telephone. The case was not fully charged upon delivery.
The earbuds themselves both have a physical button and do not use swipe or tap movements. With the buttons you can pick up or hang up a phone call, go forward or backward, start and pause and enable the assistant such as Google Assistant or Siri. Unfortunately, there is no option to adjust the volume from the earphones. So you will have to do this from your phone yourself. The sound of the earphones is good, but there are certainly earplugs with a better sound quality. If you place high demands on the sound, these earphones are probably not for you. It is also a pity that there is no accompanying app. So you can't set anything, such as high or low tones.
A big advantage of these earplugs is that you can choose to use both earplugs at the same time for stereo sound, but also only the left or right earplug. There is a microphone in both earphones, so you can have a phone conversation even when you only use 1 earplug.
When you take the earbuds out of the case, they turn on automatically. From Android 6 or higher, the earbuds are automatically paired when you take them out of the case when you first use them. So you don't have to pair the earbuds via the Bluetooth settings. This has to be done with an iPhone. When you put the earbuds back in the case, they are turned off and immediately charged again. According to JBL's statement, the earplugs last 5 hours. The case allows you to charge them in up to 20 hours. So 25 hours in total.
The case itself feels sturdy, is not too big and the rounded corners make it easy to fit in a pocket. The earbuds are firmly in the case. When you hold the case upside down and the cover is open, the earbuds won't fall out. Not even when you shake it. The case has a USB-C connection for charging. Wireless charging of the case is not supported. It is a pity that the indicator LEDs on the case that indicate how full the case is still charged are located on the inside under the cover. When you charge the case, you will not immediately see from the outside when it is fully charged. To do this, you must first open the cover. Once the indicator LEDs are off, the case and earbuds are fully charged.
The earbuds themselves have a good fit. They have a similar shape to Apple's Airpods 2 and sit comfortably in the ear. They stay put and even when you shake your head they don't fall out. Because there is no rubber cap that goes in your ear, the caps do not irritate and you do not suffer from it when you have them in for a longer period of time. Unfortunately, active noise canceling is missing, which in itself is a shame.
All in all, for this price, they are nice earplugs with a good sound that are easy to use.

Nice earplugs that stay in my ears well. When I take them out of the charging case, they make direct contact with my phone, so I don't have to set anything. I have the gold version, but this is not gold. The shiny parts are rose gold and the matte parts a very neutral, unobtrusive pink color (matte rose gold?). Overall, not nearly as yellow as in the pictures. But I think it's a lot nicer myself. The color makes them unobtrusive on my skin. The sound surprised me, nice quality!
