According to our earbuds expert
Active noise canceling mutes distracting ambient noise and white noise.
The earbuds are waterproof thanks to the IPX7 certification, so you can clean them with water after your workout.
With the My JBL Headphones app, you personalize the sound reproduction via an equalizer.
The noise canceling of earbuds doesn't reduce the sound as well as the noise canceling of headphones.
The carrying comfort is perceived by many customers as less high than other fully wireless earbuds.
With the JBL Live Free NC+, you won't be distracted by loud gym-goers as much. These earbuds have noise canceling, so ambient noise is reduced. This way, you can focus on your workout and you don't get distracted by what's happening around you. Thanks to the IPX7 certification, you can clean your earbuds under the faucet after your workout. They won't malfunction due to water damage. Download the My JBL Headphones app and adjust the sound via the equalizer. This way, you can listen to the sound you like.
Note: from 1 November, Google Assistant is no longer available if you use the earbuds with an iOS device.
Note: JBL does include a charging cable, but no charger. Use your current accessories, or purchase them separately.
The JBL Live Free NC are earplugs that have noise canceling. Together with the waterproof design, this makes the ideal sports earplugs. In the gym I focus on the workout, although the noise canceling doesn't dampen everything.
Reasonable noise canceling Because the earplugs are waterproof, I take them to the gym and they don't break due to sweat. I turn on the noise canceling and focus on my workout. That way I hear more of the music and less of the athletes around me. Especially the sounds far away are well muffled. When someone puts their weights down a little too hard or talks loudly around me, I can still hear it.
IPX7 waterproof The earbuds have an IPX7 certification. This means that they are waterproof and can be submerged up to 1 meter in water for 30 minutes. This allows me to clean them under a running tap after an intensive workout. Now I go to the gym every time with clean earplugs.
Uplifting sound During exercise I want to listen to a powerful sound, for extra motivation. The sound of these earbuds gives me that. The low tones are powerful and have a reasonable punch. If, like me, you listen to a lot of bass-driven music, these earplugs are for you.

You take them out of the case and they are connected to all my devices. Switching between watch and phone is also seamless. The app that comes with it is also really user-friendly, you can adjust them completely to your own wishes. Just think you're going to take them off and your music will go on pause!

Outside noise dominates the music. Which means you have to have the volume way too high.
