According to our internal memory expert
You receive a life-long warranty on this RAM.
Thanks to the 2666MHz clock speed, this RAM works faster than a 2400MHz RAM memory module.
Check if this RAM is compatible with the memory that is now installed in your Mac.
Note: This RAM only fits in iMac models with a DDR4 connector from mid 2017 or newer and Mac Mini models with a DDR4 connector from late 2018 or newer. This RAM isn't suitable for MacBook models or devices with a different system.
Upgrade the internal memory of your iMac from mid 2017 and newer or your Mac Mini from late 2018 or newer with the Corsair Apple Mac 16GB DDR4 SODIMM 2666MHz CL18 (2x 8GB) RAM Module. This 16GB RAM is divided into 2 modules of 8GB and works with a 2666MHz clock speed.
Does exactly what it does and combines well with the existing 8GB that were already in the imac (2019). 40gb total now, enough for now!

Super easy to install and compatible without any problem with 2 memory cards that were in my iMac when purchased (clock speed of old and new must be the same - here 2666MHz). The existing 2x 8GB now supplemented with 2x 16GB, so a total of 48GB. I followed the instructions to place the existing cards that were in slots 1 and 3 together in slots 1 & 2, and then placed the new ones in slots 3 & 4. According to the manual, a restart could take up to 30 minutes, but it hardly took longer than a normal startup of the Mac. Just be careful that when placing the new cards, they are placed in the correct direction. Use the position of the notch as a reference, do not rely on the appearance of the memory cards. Apple has made installation incredibly easy. Nothing to open, just open the cover, lift the bracket and click in new cards.
