The smallest bracket can hardly be attached

The clamps have a firm grip on the phone so that it will never come loose. I don't even need the attached rubber for this.

Mounting the base on the handlebars was not without problems. Comes with 2 brackets to choose from, one thinner and one wider. I started with the thinner one, but the ball on which you attach the mechanism is so close to the screw thread that you cannot tighten the nut with a socket wrench. Finally used the wider bracket and I had just enough space in between to do this.

The mechanism is easy to screw on and off, so you can easily attach it before your ride and remove it after your ride (this is also very nice because of theft).
