According to our robot vacuum expert
With a 0.45L capacity, the dust collector is larger than that of other robot vacuums, so you have to empty it less often.
This robot is easy to control via the app on your mobile phone, where you can also make a cleaning schedule for the rest of the week.
Thanks to the mopping function, the robot also uses a wet cloth on your floor to remove fine dust.
Due to the random cleaning route, the robot may skip parts or do them twice.
With the iRobot Roomba Combo, you're not bothered by stuck hairs and dirt. The brushes of the robot vacuum spin in different directions, so this robot is suitable for vacuuming pet hairs as well. When you connect it to the iRobot Home app, you can easily set a cleaning schedule for the rest of the week. This way, the robot does the rest. The app provides personalized cleaning tips and suggests extra cleaning tasks during the pollen season. This is useful for people with hay fever. Do you want the robot to remove fine dust from the floor as well? Wet the included mop and attach it. With a battery life of 110 minutes, the robot can vacuum about 100m2 on a full battery.

At first I always thought that robot vacuum cleaners were superfluous, but now that they are getting smarter, they turn out to be very handy devices. Also the iRobot Roomba Combo, which ensures that my normal vacuum cleaner has been collecting dust for a few weeks now.
The Combo comes with a microfibre cloth, extra filter and 2 side brushes. With some help from the manual, I install the robot vacuum cleaner quickly and easily. After the robot is in place, it is time to set up the app. The steps I went through in the user-friendly app were clear and it didn't take long before I was allowed to name my new roommate: Mickey.
It is easy to control and has a good suction power Controlling the robot is done via the app. In this I instruct Mickey to vacuum the living room with one push of a button. Mickey has a self-learning navigation method. As a result of the previous cleaning tasks, he is increasingly mapping the spaces in order to avoid obstacles. This is also apparent in practice, because where Mickey got stuck against my table leg the first few times, he now avoids it cleverly. It's nice to see how the robot does its job. The side brushes knock the dirt in, as it were, which then ends up in the dust container due to the good suction power.
Mickey can handle thresholds up to a height of 2 centimeters. This explains the love-hate relationship between Mickey and my approximately one inch rug. When Mickey drives up the carpet in a straight line, he cleans it effortlessly, but when he starts to turn on the carpet, he has a hard time.
I don't use the mop function often, but when I do use it it's mainly for spot cleaning. The robot then vacuums and mops the area where it is currently placed. Very handy for the kitchen!
User-friendly app In the iRobot Home app I don't just control the robot. The app also offers the possibility to set cleaning preferences, favorite programs and a cleaning schedule. I let the robot drive around every few days at 3 a.m., so that I find a clean kitchen and living room the next morning. In addition, the app gives me tips to get the most out of the robot, such as seasonal recommendations. You will also find problem solutions, but luckily I have not needed them yet.

Our James redefines clean. After he had gone through his charging procedure, we let him do his first round. Although we had already vacuumed and mopped the house during the day, the amount James had vacuumed was very impressive. Now he makes his rounds every morning and the house has never been so clean. The filter also ensures that my wife is less bothered by her allergies and you do not come across tufts of dog everywhere. An expensive purchase, but if you put the time saved against the cleaning time, it is definitely worth the investment.

In the beginning you still have to learn to deal with it and keep an eye on it, but over time you know where it can get stuck. Once this is fixed, it will run perfectly. And the occasional bump is a comedic distraction. Be careful with the carpets if you have the mop underneath.
